distancing
the

Cities
through
Benton
on

82,
Yakima
as
well
(a
supply
stop),
breaking
off
from
the
former
route,
over
the
Kittitas
Divide
and
Manashtash
Ridge
into
Ellensburg
Valley,
picking
up
90,
Thorpe
Praire,
Cle
Elum,
past
Keechelus
Lake,
up,
up,
into
the
Cascades,
mounting
Snoqualmie Pass,
down
into
King,
over
the
floating
bridges,
and,
ultimately,
to Seattle.
Traffic,
diversions,
the West Seattle Bridge
and
on
to
Nathan
and
Joyce's.
We take a breather
in the backyard,
and eventually
N arrives
for a
wander
to
Claire's
school,
incredibly
close,
yet
a
bit
circuitous,
making the impressive circuit and returning for
dinner with Joyce
and
friends.
Farewell's and onward with Harriet,
back across the Bridge,
a distant Mt. Rainier glowering, the south on 5, back into Oregon, for an eventual delightful overnight in Salem. High temperatures for the day as
