Adware indeed removed, visual cable purchased, many (but far from all) questions answered, and a return is made to an earlier operating system re the MacBook, but Snow Leopard (the oldest available onsite), rather the the original Leopard, which brings back GarageBand, iMovie, information on GB's remaining, "Save As" in Preview, and allows for Dropbox and printing, but not scanning.  Resolution and the newer non-jukebox iTunes still problematic, older programs such as the original Mac Encore,  Photoshop Studio, and Word likely to be gone forever.

Another totally delightful day with Harriet, and we proceed from here to Diablo Valley to test-drive the newer equipment, and everything works fine in this new capacity (interesting that the older machine fails to connect, so another persuasive reason for proceeding apace with the newers situation), and we decamp to Concord BJ's for a repast both spicy and tasty -- eventually returning to edit Alma Maria Schindler Mahler Gropius Werfel: 1906 - Alma Mahler / Gustav Mahler, Op. 232, No. 28 (3 pages total), on the 18th interval of spring... high 62, warmest day of the year thus far (after January 13's 61:  2 Day 60's / 16 Days 50's), with .43 more rain (9.51 since July 1).

Oh yes, also score-study pages 8 of Igor Stravinsky's Histoire du Soldat: I. Soldier's March and the opening tutti re Sergei Prokofiev's Fiery Angel, Op. 37.
